The Moon Festival

Mrs. Cam told us about this special Chinese festival.

Long ago a story was told about a queen who drank a special tea to keep her young and beautiful. Instead she ended up on the moon!

The moon festival is on the 8^th of September.

Family and friends have a special dinner and give each other a special box of moon cakes. 

Mrs. Cam opened the special box she had bought. Inside were some moon cakes. When she cut one in half we could see two egg yolks. Usually there is only one. This was an extra lucky moon cake.
